Scrolling through images of war and disaster, then looking up to an unbroken, sunny room. The contrast of worlds is disorienting and living far from chaos is a privilege. The chaos stays an image, never a floor you have to stand on.
Goodnight Light is a playset made out of a wooden doll house bought second hand and then destroyed. The toy debris lay on a platform and are free to reconfigure into different scenes of chaos. In the center rests a bright light illuminating and framing the house, standing unbothered.
